This workshop was an outcome of a collaboration between me and two classmates, Pelin Karar and Arjen Ploeger. We designed a workshop, where the participants followed a mediation in which they would be guided through a visualization of becoming someone or something else. After doing this meditation they would try to create that vision in a visual form.
One of the techniques we used was monotyping. This is a printing technique I am quite familiar with and has a factor of surprise to it since you will never know exactly how the print will look. This creates freedom and motivates the participants to let go of trying to control the outcome too much.
